Karakarthaprabodhini
Kaumud? (water lily) is the primer to study Sanskrit grammar, yet an ardent reader might find it a maze to untangle from its complexities. There is a need of Kaumud? (moonlight) to blossom it and show the light to reach its core. K?rak?rtha-prabodhin? is such an attempt. K?raka, a factor that determines the relation between verb and the constituent words of a sentence, enables the reader to understand the intent of the sentence and thus critical discourses too. The Sanskrit grammatical texts and discourses have elaborated on the subtleties of K?raka. Due to its profundity, there was a need for a lucid writing for the scholars and students for easy comprehension, which can be a reference book. Dr Potti made this possible for the Malayalam readers. Dr Shivani presents it for the Sanskrit fraternity too, with an introduction by Dr Varakhedi.

Sringara in Subandhu and Nemichandra
Author: Mahaling Bhat, Editor: N Thirumaleshwara Bhat
The Vāsavadattā by Subandhu and the Līlāvati Prabandham by Nēmicandra are two renowned Campū Kāvyas (epic poem) in Kannada, which can be traced back to the early half of 700 BCE. K Mahalinga Bhat published a comprehensive analysis of the epic poems in 1966, situating the original works in their cultural and historical contexts. This book highlights the folk-tale motifs, the characterization and delineation of various Rasas, and analyzes the language of the epics. It also includes excerpts in Sanskrit from both works, accompanied by prose translations.
The original stories are characterized by the element of Śṙṅgāra (Romance). In this book, the aspect of romance in the narratives and the lives of the protagonists is seen through a contemporary lens. It highlights societal conditions and norms prevalent between 700 to 600 BCE in Vāsavadattā and Līlāvati Prabandham in a different light. This new edition compiled by N Thirumaleshwara Bhat draws attention to the relevance of epic poems today and the universality of their narrative.

Decolonial Existence and Urban Sensibility: A Study on Mahesh Elkunchwar
The book Decolonial Existence and Urban Sensibility: A Study on Mahesh Elkunchwar meticulously reflects upon some of the selected translated plays of Marathi playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar. It revolves around the themes of decolonial existence and urban sensibility in contemporary India as portrayed in his plays with respect to post-independent urban existence, socio-cultural existence and gender. The book also looks forward to establish a counterargument against the idealized and totalitarian definitions of West-centric existentialist philosophy, and establish indigenous dimensions of decolonial existence within specific contexts. It dismantles the colonially structured existing binaries of urban/rural, ethical/unethical and high culture/low culture through the diverse portrayal of human relationships in contemporary India and broadly addresses two inter-mingled perspectives. Firstly, it outlines the thematic and dramatic perspectives of the selected plays of Mahesh Elkunchwar and secondly, it explores the multi-dimensional philosophical perspectives that encapsulate the theoretical latitude of decoloniality and urban sensibility
