R K Malhotra brings hands-on experience from major irrigation and water resource projects. His distinguished career spans the design and execution of gravity dams, power plants, tunnels, canals, and other key components of large-scale water infrastructure. He began his professional journey with the iconic Bhakra Dam and rose to senior leadership positions, including General Manager on major public sector projects. In 1988, he joined the World Bank in New Delhi as an Irrigation Engineer, a position he held until January 1994. Post-retirement, he continued his association with the World Bank as a national and international consultant, contributing to critical water initiatives in India and Sri Lanka.
