Prakash Nayak, originally from Uttara Kannada district in Karnataka and now based in Cupertino, California, has published the short story collections Amurtha Chitta and Pacific Teerada Pati and translated Albert Camus’s The Stranger into Kannada as Aparichita. He has also served as an editor for Kannada literary publications in the United States, and his writings and translations have appeared in leading Kannada literary magazines. His debut novel, Anthu, captivated both audiences and critics with its lyrical prose and profound exploration of humanity’s longing for immortality. Through its English translation, Anthu brings the richness of Kannada literature to a wider global audience.
