Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder which develops during the early years of a child?s development. Interoception is one of the major areas which is affected among children with autism (CWA). A failure in this area leads to an inability to sense the internal state of the body like hunger, thirst, heartbeat, respiration, various emotions, self-awareness, and self-regulation. The book focuses on guiding parents and teachers through various visual schedules, strategies, simple pictures, games, and activities to teach body awareness, body safety, basic functional skills, general strategies, and tips to teach daily living activities to CWA right from 2-3 years of age so as to help them achieve independence in life.
