Ms Vaidehi, who hails from Kundapura was born on February 12, 1945, is recognised for her peculiar style of writing which speaks about the shades and sensitivities of women, and, complexities of family, marital and societal life in her own regional dialect. Her works, over 40 in numbers, of different literary forms have bagged reputed awards and recognitions presented by Kendra Sahitya Academy (Government of India), Dana Chintamani Attimabbe (Government of Karnataka) and many others to her credits.
