Uma Parameswaran was born and educated in India, and has lived in Canada since 1966. She is a retired Professor of English and the author of ten books. Her works of fiction include award winning What was Always Hers, Mangoes on the Maple Tree, and A Cycle of the Moon. Her other fiction titles are The Forever Banyan Tree, Fighter Pilots Never Die, The Sweet Smell of Mother’s Milk-Wet Bodice, Pinto sees the Light. Her last book Lady Lokasundari Raman was published by Manipal University Press.
