Simon George is a Professor and presently the Dean – Academics at the T A Pai Management Institute, (TAPMI) Manipal. TAPMI is one of the first b-schools in the country to get the coveted AACSB accreditation (the gold standard in international b-school accreditation). He teaches Marketing, Brand Management and Services Marketing. He has about 31 years of teaching experience and is one of the first to teach the courses of Services Marketing in 1993 and Blue Ocean Strategy in 2011, in any b-school in India. He was instrumental in starting a marketing research fair, called Brand Scan in 1993, which has been getting wide industry acceptance, for the last 24 years. He has published two academic research compendiums based on these market and product studies. He underwent training in Case Method of Teaching and Case Writing at the Harvard Business School, Boston. His cases have been published in Vikalpa-Journal of IIM, Ahmedabad. He regularly conducts training programs for practicing managers. He taught a Marketing course, in Oakland University, Michigan, US and is a recipient of the Best Marketing Professor Award in the National Leadership Awards, instituted by Dainik Bhaskar.
