Groomed under the leadership of Dr H Vinod Bhat, Dr Neeta Inamdar has developed keen academic interest in internationalization of higher education over a decade with a considerable hands-on experience in the field. She contributed significantly to the setting up of Centre for European Studies in Manipal and since 2009 has been heading it. She has developed partnerships with many European universities and dual-degree programs, international summer and winter schools for cultural immersions, and many foreign language programs apart from the flagship master program in European studies. She holds a Jean Monnet Chair in Economic Integration and European Identity and has the credit of being a part of almost all European programs – Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, Horizon 2020. In 2015, she was instrumental in getting a Jean Monnet project in Internationalization of higher education and Bologna process. This book is a part of the project and is partially funded by the European Union. Under her leadership, the Centre for European Studies was awarded the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in India-EU Interdisciplinary Studies in 2018.
